Census 2011
The Census 2011 is currently underway and Minority Front Councillor, Lyndal Singh is urging the public to co-operate with the officials.
The census which is a systematic procedure which collects required information and records it about the population of South Africa is a requirement which allows the government to keep on record its current population as well as to check how it has changed over the years.
South Africa first conducted a Census in 1911 and since then many enumerations have occurred with the most recent two carried out was that in 1996 and 2001, with Census 2011 being the latest one.
"I urge all communities to please co-operate and allow this Census to take place. These people are just doing their jobs and we need to do ours by helping them out", Councillor Lyndal Singh said.
Kind Regards
